There is a point during most meals when your body has had enough.
The problem is that many people eat past that point without noticing.
A reliable cue is flavor.
The first few bites are vivid. Later bites are less interesting.
When the food stops tasting as good as it did at the beginning, satisfaction is usually close.
A simple practice:
- Notice taste early in the meal
- Check again halfway through
- Stop when eating becomes mechanical rather than enjoyable
This cue becomes clearer with repetition and removes the need for portion control
